Is there anything more fun than gliding and splashing across the water on a boating tube in the middle of summer? We say that there is not!
We offer a great variety of shapes and sizes, including some of the best tubes for boating that will make sure your next day on the water is off the charts!
They’re durable, they’re safe, and most importantly, they’re fun! After you get on one of these towable tubes, you won't be able to get the smile off of your face. Get your favorite boating tube now! We have them available in a wide range of sizes. From a one-person towable tube up to a tube that can seat up to 14 people!
Tubing behind a boat is often simply referred to as 'tubing' or 'biscuiting'. There are other slang terms in different areas of the country, but these are the most popular over time.
This will depend on what type of tubing you want to do. If you want to go for speed and jump wakes, then smaller 1-2-person tubes will be best. If you want to enjoy fun with more friends then a 3-5 person tube would be better. These may be circular tubes or 'sit-back' style boating tubes.
If you want to get a larger amount of people on board, then a banana boat tube would be our recommendation. These are available from 3-person to 14-person models with several sizes in between. They have been popular since the early 1990s.
The speed of the tube will be directly proportionate to the speed of the boat, as long as the boat is going straight. When a boat is making a turn the tube will whip around at speeds faster than what the boat is traveling.
Most towable tubes are recommended to be operated at speeds of 15-25 mph. Pulling a boat at fast speeds can lead to serious injuries; concussions and whiplash are the most common, but rare when operated at recommended speeds.
As long as safety precautions are followed boating is normally a safe activity. Passengers must always wear a Personal Floatation Device (PFD) at all times, no matter their age. Avoiding excessive speeds is the next most important safety measure, followed by not overloading.
You can tow 2-3 tubes behind a boat, but it isn't recommended. Tubes can collide as well as passengers and this is when injuries can happen. We recommend only towing 1 tube behind recreational boats.
For tubing, it is recommended that you are a minimum of 100 feet behind the boat. You want enough distance to avoid colliding with the boat or PWC if you are thrown off your tube or if the boat slows down coming off your top tubing speed.
That is a hard NO! Boating at night can be dangerous enough, tubing at night is very dangerous and most likely illegal. We are located at Lake of the Ozarks, Mo, and on our lake there is no skiing, tubing, or PWC use 30 minutes after sunset until 1 hour before sunrise.
