The 1-man Advanced Elements AdvancedFrame Sport Inflatable Kayak is more compact and lightweight. The hull of the Advanced Elements Sport Kayak has built-in aluminum ribs that support and frame the bow and stern. This design provides extra stability to the Advanced Elements inflatable kayak which increases safety and performance. While the bow of the AdvancedFrame Sport kayak cuts through and glides over the water, the stern acts like a skeg which results in tracking performance on par with that of a hard shell kayak. The Advanced Elements Sport Kayak has a large cockpit opening for ease in getting in and out of the inflatable kayak. There is plenty of storage on this kayak making it great for longer endeavors. The Advanced Elements AdvancedFrame Sport Kayak is ideal for lakes, bays, inland waters, and slow-moving (Class I-II) rivers. Setup is easy; just take the Advanced Elements inflatable kayak out of a duffel bag, unfold, inflate, attach the seat and it is Bon Voyage!
It was backordered, but once it's available, Nate helped to ship it asap. It was a beautiful kayak and packed very well.

My First Inflatable kayak, overall I think it's pretty darn good. Can't really compare it to other inflatable kayaks, since it's my first but compared to a modular kayak it was just as good. I like both kinds now and depending on the situation might prefer one over the other, but would be happy with either kind. It has held up good for the first 6 months, if it continues to hold up it will be a 5 star.
I bought this because I have a small car and it is difficult to transport my hardshell kayaks. I can fit two of these in the trunk of my Subaru WRX along with paddles and life vests. It has to be done carefully, but it all fits. I own hardshell kayaks so I can compare this inflatable directly to a Point 65 tequila and a Wilderness Systems Tarpon. With the backbone accessory, the inflatable handles just as well as the hard shells on calm water. I mainly kayak in lakes and bayous in the FL panhandle. The hard shells are easier to clean but more difficult to transport. The inflatable is messy to take home and clean. Sand and mud like to stick to it as it gets folded to go back in the trunk. Set up and take down takes about 10-15 min. A two way pump is extremely helpful. All air must be out to fold the boat properly. You must leave the boat inflated for a couple of days when you get home, so it can dry out. A wet/dry vac is helpful for cleaning the inside of the boat. The home cleanup routine takes about 30 minutes including the dry out inflating.
We have 4 AE Sport kayaks for our family and we love them. The kayaks take up minimal space and it only takes about 20 minutes to inflate all four. Same to deflate and pack them up. The kayaks are very durable but most of all comfortable, no hard shell. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a recreational kayak.
